Charles simulates modem speed by effectively limiting bandwidth and introducing latency, so that you can experience the entire website like a modem user (bandwidth simulator).

AJAX

Charles is very useful for XML development in web browsers, such as AJAX (Asynchronous Javascript and XML) and XMLHTTP, as it allows you to view the actual XML flowing between the client and server. Charles natively supports JSON, JSON-RPC, and SOAP; Display each in a simplified tree format for easy viewing and debugging.

Flash
